🌾 January — New Year, Same Body (And That’s Okay)
The new year loves to shout “new you!”But for many of us living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), our bodies politely—but firmly—decline that invitation.
EDS is a connective tissue disorder that affects joints, skin, digestion, and energy levels. It means flexibility without stability, pain without obvious cause, and fatigue that doesn’t care how motivated you are.
So this year, we’re choosing gentler goals.Listening more. Resting sooner. Eating foods that work with our bodies instead of against them.
At the bakery, that looks like slow fermentation, simple ingredients, and honoring the process—because bodies, like dough, don’t respond well to being rushed.
Here’s to a year of kindness. To ourselves and to each other.
